This was a family-fun 3-day event from 27th to 29th of August 2022. Set across the bank holiday weekend, there was equestrian sport at all levels, complimented by lots of food and drink outlets and a diverse shopping village and spectacular summer weather.
Oakhurst Gin, our hand-crafted London Dry Gin was present at the Oakhurst Living stand.
Not to be confused with Wellington in Somerset, this is set on the Hampshire estate of the Duke of Wellington, he of The Battle of Waterloo fame in 1815, when Napoleon was finally defeated. However, more than 200 years later, the current Duke is the ninth to have inherited the title.
The weekend enjoyed gorgeous weather allowing for lots of family fun. So many little faces were painted as lions and tigers and bears, enjoying tractor rides and a photo in the fire engine. In the arena there was Dressage and Show Jumping at all levels. Around the estate there was also the cross-country event.
Many visitors stopped by the Oakhurst Living stand to sample and purchase Oakhurst Gin. The feedback we had was lovely with many positive comments. We were offering stunning G&T’s with a large slice of pink grapefruit as the garnish. Truly delicious. Our new 20cl size bottle was greatly admired, and many were taken home in our picnic bag for a refreshing G & T in the garden.
